MARTINATOR TAKES IT ALL, POLE AND SPRINT. ZARCO AMAZES IN THE SPRINT, P5
Japanese GP
Martin dominates the saturday in Japan. First, he secures the pole position in the morning qualifying with an amazing time of 1:43.198. Then, in the Sprint, he had a flash start and sets the pace for all 12 laps. Today, today he was the master of Motegi. His teammate Johann Zarco also performs well. After a qualifying session that doesn’t do him justice (P10), he shines in the Sprint and finishes in fifth place.
Jorge Martin:
I couldn’t be happier, Pole and Sprint today, I’m super satisfied. Together with the team, we’re doing an incredible job, and I can say we’re under a lucky star… but we deserve it.
Johann Zarco:
I’m closing the day content, a good Sprint, we’ve finally found what we were looking for, and things went better. It’s a shame about the qualifying because we could have done better, and starting further up the grid would have obviously helped. But if I can start well like today, we have a chance to do well in the race tomorrow.
