GERMAN GP – JOHANN ZARCO (P3) WILL START ON THE FRONT ROW AT SACHSENRING. JORGE MARTIN FINISHED GRAND PRIX DEUTSCHLAND QUALIFYING

German GP

Great front row start for Johann Zarco in qualifying for the Grand Prix Deutschland to be held tomorrow at the iconic Sachsenring circuit.
Jorge Martin (p8) just 69 thousandths of a second off the second row.
After an extremely convincing FP3 with the two Prima Pramac Racing riders able to easily gain direct access to Q2, in qualifying for Pole Position Jorge Martin is the protagonist of a good first run that temporarily closes in third position. However, the Spanish rider was unable to improve in the second time attack, finishing in eighth position just 288 thousandths off Bagnaia’s pole position.
Johann Zarco, on the other hand, took the opposite route, taking advantage of the first time attack to gain confidence with his Ducati Desmosedici GP and then pushing hard on the final lap to take third place, which earned him a front row start in tomorrow’s race, just 99 thousandths behind Bagnaia.

Jorge Martín
From the way FP3 went this morning I was expecting more, starting from eighth position is good but we could have done even better.
Tomorrow it will be crucial to know how to make the most of the tyres because that will be the key to  get a podium.

Johann Zarco
I am really happy, we did a great job.
It was very hot and it was not easy but we still managed to bring home a very good front row, which will be fundamental for tomorrow’s race.
The feeling with the bike is very good.
