Third place for Martin at Mugello - Morbidelli is sixth, achieving his best Sunday result in 2024
Mugello, 2nd of June 2024 - The magnificent setting of Mugello hosted a great race in front of a warm and passionate crowd.
Jorge Martin made a consistent race starting from pole position. The Spaniard was a main actor throughout the race, battling with several riders. Spending the majority of the race in second position, Martin was overtaken at the last corner by Enea Bastianini. The Spaniard was able to achieve the maximum result on a complicated track and at the end of a challenging Grand Prix.
Franco Morbidelli had his best GP of the season. After a magnificent fourth place in the Sprint, Morbidelli secured a consistent sixth place, achieving his best result of the season in the main race.
Now, the MotoGP World Championship has a three-week break. The eighth GP of the season is the Motul TT Assen, from the 28th to the 30th of June.

“The Italian GP has been a very consistent weekend. I am happy about the race, I tried to have an even better result but I decided to avoid any kind of risks ensuring myself sixth place. After the difficult beginning of the season I had, it is important to achieve results and to build up consistency. That gives extra motivation and we, the team and I, need it. Tomorrow, we have one more day on track to do the test and that will surely help me take another step forward”.
